The Saint Joseph's golf team placed 17th at the Xavier Invitational, posting a 307 in Tuesday's final round at the Oasis Golf Club.
The Hawks finished the three-round tournament with a score of 302-291-307/900. Austen Peay State won the team title in the 19-team field, holding off host Xavier in a playoff.
Individually, junior Phil Arouca paced the Hawk fith a final-round 74 to finish in a tie for 50th at 78-70-74/222. Senior Billy Stewart finished with a 73-73-79/225, while Ryan McCarty posted a 79-76-72/227. Senior Sean Seese posted a 74-72-84/230, while sophomore Colin Corrigan 77-76-82/235.
Xavier's John Steirbich won the medalist honor with a score of 202.
