The Saint Joseph's golf team finished eighth in the 14-team field of the Penn Classic this past weekend at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.
The Hawks posted a two-round score of 305-304/609, finishing 17 strokes behind first-place Richmond (592). Saint Joseph's also placed second amongst Big 5 schools, losing to Villanova by four strokes.
Individually, sophomore Colin Corrigan paced the Hawks with a 74-75/149. Senior Billy Stewart shot a 78-76/154, while junior Ryan McCarty posted a 77-77/154. Senior Sean Seese finished at 80-76/156, while junior Phil Arouca rounded out the five-man squad at 76-80/156.
Steve Arnold of Villanova earned medalist honors with a score of 69-72/142.
Saint Joseph's returns to action Saturday and Sunday, October 22-23, at the Georgetown Hoya Classic.
