PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's golf team will host the 18th Annual John Truax Memorial Tournament Tuesday, October 25 at the North Hills Country Club.

John Truax attended Saint Joseph's University in 1974 on a golf scholarship after a successful four year stint at Cardinal Dougherty High School. John continued his success on Hawk Hill by competing three consecutive years as an individual in the NCAA Championships. He was victorious in the 1977 ECAC Championship at Colgate, which opened the dorr to All-American honors in 1978. This was an honor never before bestowed upon a Hawk golfer. John lost the battle to cancer on August 7, 1986.
