The Saint Joseph's golf team capped its fall season Sunday, finishing in a tie for 10th place at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational.
In yesterday's final round, the Hawks posted a 304 to finish with a two-day score of 299-304/603 to finish tied with host Georgetown in 10th place. Eastern Michigan, who led the tournament after the opening day, posted a 290 in the final round to win by two strokes at 578 in the 12-team field.
Individually, sophomore Colin Corrigan posted a two-over-par 74 Sunday and finished in a tie for 25th with a score of 75-74/149. Senior Billy Stewart finished a stroke behind Corrigan at 73-77/150, while junior Phil Arouca posted a 76-75/151. Senior Sean Seese shot a final-round 78 to finish at 75-78/153, while junior Ryan McCarty rounded out the five-man squad with a 77-78/155. Playing as an individual, sophomore Ryan Barnett shot a 91-81/172.
Eastern Michigan's Graham Hill earned medalist honors with a five-under-par 139.
This weekend capped the fall schedule for the Hawks, as Saint Joseph's finished with a solid showing, which included the team title at the Cornell Invitational. Individually, Corrigan earned medalist honors at the Navy Fall Invitational, holding off two other opponents in an 11-hole playoff, while Stewart earned the individual title a week later at Cornell.
