PHILADELPHIA -
Coming off his first collegiate medalist honor at this past weekend's Navy Fall Invitational, Saint Joseph's sophomore golfer Colin Corrigan was recognized as the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week for week of September 5-11.
In his first tournament of the season, Corrigan carded a 71-72/143 (+1) and found himself in a three-way tie atop the leaderboard. Corrigan withstood Siena's Bryan Bigley and Winthrop's Steve Alminasan in an 11-hole playoff to claim his first individual title as a collegian.
Corrigan, who became the first Saint Joseph's golfer to earn a weekly award this season, currently leads the Hawks with a 71.5 strokes-per-round average.
Saint Joseph's, which tied for fifth in the 15-team field at the Navy Fall Invitational, will return to action September 24 and 25 at the Cornell Invitational in Ithaca, NY.
