BOLIVAR, NY - St. Bonaventure used two first-half goals to earn a 4-1 win over Saint Joseph's in men's soccer action Friday. The loss drops SJU to 2-12-3 and 1-6-1 in the Atlantic 10, while the Bonnies improve to 2-12-2 (2-4-2 A-10).

Sophomore Michael McInaw scored the Hawks' lone goal and the first of the game, with an unassisted tally at 26:46. It was his team-leading fourth goal of the season.

The Bonnies scored two within a span of over two minutes as Samuel Maheu took a pass in the box from Steven Bortolon at 34:52. Bortolon set up the next goal by Phil Amahazion at 36:22.

SBU scored two late insurance goals, one at 73:36 by Maheu and one in the final minute by Kevin Omokhua.

St. Bonaventure held a slim 14-12 edge in shots on the day. Bryan Benedict made four saves in goal for the Hawks while Kenneth Boutsabouabane made seven for the home team.

The game was played at nearby Bolivar-Richburg High School in Bolivar, NY, on an artificial turf field due to poor conditions at SBU's McGraw-Jennings Field.

Saint Joseph's closes out the season on Sunday at Fordham in a 1:00 p.m. match.
