Junior Matt Godusky had two hits and Jeff Williams was solid on the hill once again, but it wasn't enough as Saint Joseph's (4-13) dropped a 6-2 decision to host Rollins College (12-9) at Alfond Stadium.
Saint Joseph 's got the scoring started in the third inning as Matt Godusky singled in Tim Smith from second.
Rollins couldn't get a base runner on until the third inning against the Hawks' starter Williams. However in the fourth, the Tars touched up Williams with a run on a RBI single. The Tars followed that up with two runs in the sixth inning on a double.
SJU trimmed the lead to one in the seventh at 3-2 when freshman Ben Wendle scored on a sacrifice fly by Smith.
The Tars would add three insurance runs over the next two innings and secure a 6-2 victory.
