PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - Junior Mike Gentile was 4-for-5 and freshman Ben Wendle had two hits, but Saint Joseph's (15-28) managed just one run and dropped a 4-1 decision to Villanova (22-18) in Philadelphia Diamond Five action at the Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth.

Sophomore Tim Smith plated SJU's lone run on a throwing error after senior Dustin Onulak reached on a fielder's choice.

Starting pitcher Chris Prescott (2-6) took the loss, allowing three runs on six hits in four innings of work. Sophomores Don Werner and Mark Imbo each tossed two innings in relief.
