Saint Joseph's next took on players from rival Villanova. Although the Hawks only won four of these seven matches, Coach Miller feels good about the performance, "Our top three guys did not play, so the initial signs with the freshmen were very good. Villanova is very respectable and a strong squad. It's always a big match-up in our schedule." Matt Glasgow earned a second First Flight win, beating Demitri Chimerakis 6-3, 6-3. Scott Fahrendorf beat Tuxen 6-3, 7-5 while Perez-Abreu notched a W in the third flight slot against Brian Maher 7-5, 6-1. Prusack also won his second match-up of the tournament going 6-4, 2-6, 10-5 in a super tiebreak finish over Brett Tobin. Sean Daly got the better of Costello 6-1, 6-1, while Alex Leeser bested Kahl 6-4, 7-5. Stauble finished out the line-up with a second win, defeating Matt Kranczyk 6-4, 6-2.
