The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team tied for ninth place at the Atlantic 10 Championships with a 4-0 victory over La Salle Saturday at the Club 4 Life in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
The Hawks claimed the first point of the match, winning both the second and third doubles flights behind an 8-2 win by Nick Tuxen and Michael Stauble at No. 2 doubles and an 8-1 win by Pat Adams and Matt Prusack at No. 3 doubles.
In individual play, the Hawks gots wins from Tuxen, Prusack and Phil Garabedian to earn the sweep. Garabedian won 6-1, 6-2 at No.2 singles, while Tuxen was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at No. 3 singles. Prusack earned the victory for SJU with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles.
