The Saint Joseph's men's soccer team lost to Fordham 1-0 due to a late goal, ending the scoreless drought in Friday night's match at Coffey Field.
Fordham held a 7-1 edge in shots and had five corner attempts as the two teams battled to a 0-0 draw in the first half. Andrew D'Ottavi made three saves in net to keep the Rams scoreless.
The Hawks came back in the second half and had six shots on net to the Rams five as both teams continued their scoreless battle until the 83rd minute. Fordham's Patrick Murray passed a ball to Tim Richardson who put the ball into the back of the net from 25 yards out for an eventual game-winning goal.
D'Ottavi made totaled four saves in the game, giving him 88 saves on the season and a .715 saving percentage.
The Hawks play on Sunday next at La Salle for a 1:00 p.m. match.
