The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team dropped its Wednesday afternoon match with the rival Temple Owls, 6-1, at the SJU Tennis Complex on the Maguire Campus. Senior Lucho Perez-Abreu earned SJU's point with a win in the sixth singles flight.
Perez-Abreu was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Luv Sodha. He also paired with Peter Cognetti at second doubles, but they fell to Sodha and Andrey Morozov, 8-6.
The Hawks return to action Thursday with a match at Fairleigh Dickinson.
