Philadelphia, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's men's soccer team fought all game long, to come out on top of St. Bonaventure, 1-0, in overtime. Brendan Reilly scored his second goal of the season helping the Hawks grab the conference win.

St. Bonaventure started the game with a lot of energy and confidence, attacking aggressively, creating a few very good scoring chances.

"Andrew D'Ottavi was excellent in goal earning a well-deserved shutout for the Hawks. He also made very good decisions with the ball offensively," said head coach Don D'Ambra. The junior made 10 saves en route to the victory, marking his second shutout of the season.

Midway through the 1st half the Hawks started to get their rhythm and were able to penetrate the Bonnies defense a few times creating great scoring opportunities.

The half remained scoreless 0-0.

The second half was a very fast paced transition game where both teams had quality scoring chances. Mike Glazer, Jake Nelson and Jim Reilly all created one on one breakaway opportunities going to goal. The Bonnies goalkeeper made 2 saves keeping SJU off the score board.

The game ended 0-0.

During the OT, Tom Smart was fouled 30yards from the St. Bonaventure goal allowing a direct free kick. Brendan Reilly blasted a powerful shot through the wall to the lower left corner to give the Hawks the win.

"Brendan hit a world class shot tonight to win the game for his team and he will remember this game for a long time. I was very proud of him," said D'Ambra after the game. He went on to add "tonight's game was a very fast paced game and I thought Tom Smart and Tom Brooks got better and better as the game progressed. They both provided very good energy and presence this match."
