Box Score

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's men's soccer team fell to Fordham Friday night, 2-1. Jake Nelson's goal off a penalty kick was not enough to rally the come back.

The Hawks came out on their heels as Fordham got off ten shots in the first half. Jack-Tim Murphy scored first for the Rams at 9:47 as he netted a rebound off of the left post. At 28:37 in the first half, Tim Richardson blasted a kick from 20 yards out that found the back of the net, giving the Rams a two goal lead.

The lone goal for the Hawks came at 60:13, when Jake Nelson scored on a penalty kick as he put it just out of the reach of the Rams keeper, Ryan Meara.

Michael Moulton had a busy night in goal making 7 saves, as the Rams had 19 shots to SJU's five.

The foul count on the night reached 15 for the Hawks and 5 for the Rams.

The Hawks will close out the season this Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. as the host La Salle. Come out and support the seniors as they play their last game in the Crimson and Gray.
