CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. - It was a banner season for the Saint Joseph's women's basketball team, but it didn't end the way the Hawks had hoped as they fell at Boston College, 86-59, in the Second Round of the WNIT Saturday afternoon at Conte Forum.

Saint Joseph's caps its year with the 17th 20-win season in team history and earned its first postseason win since 2004 with its First Round WNIT victory over VCU this past Thursday.

Boston College (20-12) took control of the game from the start, imposing its fast-paced style on the Hawks. Leading 8-6, the Eagles tallied the next nine-straight points, taking a 17-6 lead on a three pointer by Kerri Sheilds with 14:25 to go in the first half.

Saint Joseph's (20-12) fought back to close the gap to 19-14, but again BC answered a 9-0 run, upping its lead to 28-14 with just under 10 minutes left in the half.
