Gates took the first set, 6-4, before Gaulthier Berret battled back to take the second, 6-3, and the supertiebreaker, 10-6. Montague won his first set, 7-6, before ultimately capitulating to the Retrievers' Kamal Patel.
There was no doubles play in the match.
