Saint Joseph's women's basketball team begins Atlantic 10 play this Saturday as the Hawks travel to Massachusetts. Game time is set for 2 p.m. with live audio provided by the Saint Joseph's Sports Network.

The Hawks are currently on a season-best four-game win streak and are coming off a 71-54 victory at Quinnipiac on Tuesday.
Saint Joseph's has posted a 25-4 all-time record in Atlantic 10 openers, including a 66-54 win at Saint Louis last year to begin conference play.
Three of SJU's four losses in Atlantic 10 openers have come at home (11/26/83 - West Virginia, L, 59-56; 1/16/93 - George Washington, L, 80-77; 1/11/09 - Temple, L, 58-53), with the one road loss coming at Temple (59-53, 1/9/07).
The Hawks are 43-9 all-time against the Minutewomen, including a 72-68 victory last season at Hagan Arena.
Saint Joseph's has won four of the previous five meetings with Massachusetts, but the Minutewomen have won three of the last four games played at the Mullins Center.
The Hawks were picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic 10 this year and are coming off an 8-6 conference record in 2010-11. Massachusetts, which went 3-11 in A-10 games last year, was picked to finish 10th.
Freshman forward Mariah Lesure is a native of Amherst, Massachusetts. She played for Amherst Regional her freshman through junior years, leading her team to a Suburban League title as a junior. Lesure transfered to Tabor Academy as a senior and went on to lead her squad to the New England Prep School Athletic Council title.
