ORLANDO, Fla. - The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team started its spring break trip with a pair of matches in Richmond against conference foes before heading to Florida for the remainder of its spring break slate.

In Virginia, the Hawks fell to Richmond, 7-0, and Charlotte, 6-1. SJU earned the doubles point in the match with the 49ers.

The Hawks then headed to Orlando, where they suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Kennesaw State. In that match, Tommy Gates earned a victory at second singles for the SJU point.

The Hawks will continue spring break play in Orlando with matches against Creighton, South Dakota State, and Presbyterian.
