Take Five with Abby Hoover

Senior field hockey captain Abby Hoover kicks off the third season of "Take Five." Abby talks about her roots in the game, her thoughts on the team playing on campus once again, and who she doesn't want picking out movies for the team's bus rides. It's not one of her teammates...

2011: Played in 15 games, all starts...Posted six of the team's 11 defensive saves, leading the Hawks in that category for the second consecutive season...Received the squad's Roosevelt Hunter Award...NFHCA National Academic Squad honoree.

2010: Started all 19 contests for the Hawks...Led the team with 10 defensive saves...Made a pair of defensive saves in September 26 game against American...Added two more on October 24 at Massachusetts...Recipient of the team's "Most Improved Player" award...Named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

2009: Made three defensive saves in seven appearances...Named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

High School: Helped lead her team to both the league and section championships as a senior...Also won the section title as a freshman...Two-year team captain...Won the 2006 PIAA state softball championship as well.
