PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's men's and women's tennis head coach Ian Crookenden has been selected as the 2013 USTA Philadelphia Area Tennis District's College Coach of the Year for 2013.

He will be honored at the annual PATD Awards Brunch on Sunday, March 2.

Crookenden led the Hawk women's tennis team to a program-record 13 wins in 2013, while his men's squad posted double-digit victories in consecutive season for just the fourth time in school history.  He tutored four All-Atlantic 10 honorees as well last season; Casey Robinson and Aurora Davis were named to the A-10 Women's Tennis All-Conference First and Second Teams, respectively, while Jose Sierra and Alex Veronis were tabbed for the Men's Tennis All-Conference Second Team.
