Dance Team Wins National Championships in Two Categories

ORLANDO, FLA. - The Saint Joseph's Dance Team captured national titles in two categories at the
UDA College Dance Team National Championship, being named the 2015 Division I Hip-Hop National Champions and the Division 1 Pom National Champions in the competition held at Walt Disney World.

It marks the second year in a row that the Hawks have earned at least one national title. In 2014, Saint Joseph's was named the National Champions in the Hip-Hop category.

"This is extra special and impressive because it is extremely rare for a team to win first place in two categories within one year. There are only a few teams that have ever been able to do this in the history of the competition," said Dance Team coach Brittany Tanney.  "I don't think any other team has ever been able to win first place in both of the categories we competed in within our division. So we are beyond thrilled and excited to be bringing these two national titles back to SJU."
