PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse team (3-1) earned its third consecutive win of the season with a 15-7 victory over Longwood (1-4) on Saturday afternoon on Sweeney Field. Junior midfielder Kelly Phelan (4G, 1A) and sophomore attack Nora McCallion (2G, 4A) combined for 11 points to lead the Hawks on the offensive end.

"Our team really stepped up from the beginning to get our first regulation win, which really feels nice for our players to get that first win in regulation" said Saint Joseph's head coach Alex Kahoe following the game. "It's also exciting that we had seven different scorers, which also helped secure the win. Kelly [Phelan] and Nora [McCallion] really dug deep and worked really hard. They worked together as a unit and really put together the things that we've been focusing on this week at practice."

Trailing 1-0 after an unassisted score by Longwood's Riley Dolan just under two minutes in, The Hawks tallied back-to-back goals from sophomore midfielder Katelyn Ambrose (21:39) and freshman attack Kristen Kelbon (20:15) to pull ahead, 2-1, early in the first half.
