Navy high-pressed us for long periods, and our guys defended extremely well. We created some quality build-up offensive opportunities but could not convert enough of them into scoring chances. We need to continue to improve in the attacking third situations."

"We did not allow too many opportunities, and Bobby made a couple of critical saves to keep us in the game," added D'Ambra.
For the match, Navy (3-3-1) outshot the Hawks 23-5, including a 10-0 second half. Saint Joseph's sophomore defender Tom Santilli fired off a team-high two shots on goal on a team-high two shots, both in overtime (91', 94'), but Navy goalkeeper Jackson Morgan made the pair of saves.
Freshman defender Eddie McCusker (22'), sophomore midfielder Matt Crawford (31'), and junior midfielder Sam Irvin (41') took first-half shots.
"Bliss Harris and Eddie battled in the middle of the field," added D'Ambra. "They controlled the backline much better and seem to be building some cohesiveness, which is critical. Eric Jordan was an engine in the middle of the field and showed great work rate and leadership."
