PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse program hosted Meiji University, from Tokyo, Japan, in an exhibition contest on Monday afternoon on Sweeney Field.
"We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to play Meiji University's lacrosse team," said head coach Alex Kahoe. "It is a great experience for our athletes and good exposure for our sport. We wish them the best in their future."
This marks the second consecutive year in which the women's lacrosse program has hosted an international opponent, having also faced the Wales National Team on February 19 of last season.
Saint Joseph's returns to regular-season action tomorrow vs. city-rival Penn, ranked 16th in this week's national poll. Start time on Sweeney Field is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
