ABOUT THE HAWKS
• Saint Joseph's senior Avery Marz has been selected as the U.S. Basketball Writers Association's 2018 Pat Summitt Most Courageous Award recipient.
• Marz will be presented with her award at the NCAA Women's Final Four in Columbus, Ohio, as part of the organization's annual press conference March 30 in Nationwide Arena several hours in front of the national semifinals.

• The Hawks cap non-conference play at the Gator Holiday Classic.
• This week marks the second in-season tournament this year for SJU.
• The Hawks previously captured the 24th Annual Hawk Classic title in November.
• The Hawks are looking to snap a five-game losing skid after opening the season with five-straight wins.
• Saint Joseph's opens tournament play on Wednesday versus Princeton at 2:30 p.m.
• The Hawks take on the host Gators on Thursday at noon.

LAST TIME OUT
• Saint Joseph's dropped its fifth straight as the Hawks fell to Drexel, 65-58, on Sunday.
• The Dragons withstood a fourth-quarter comeback by the Hawks, in which SJU made it a two-point game, but they'd get no closer as they turned the ball over six times and went 4-of-12 from the field over the final seven minutes, while the Dragons closed the game going 12-of-14 from the foul line.
• The Hawks were led by a combined 32 points from senior Chelsea Woods and junior Alyssa Monaghan.

SJU VERSUS PRINCETON
• Wednesday marks the 13th meeting between Saint Joseph's and Princeton.
• The Hawks hold a 10-2 edge in the all-time series.
• Saint Joseph's won the previous meeting, 74-65, on november 26, 2013.
• The Tigers have won two of the last three matchups with SJU.
• SJU head coach Cindy Griffin is 4-2 all-time versus Princeton.

SJU VERSUS FLORIDA
• Thursday marks the first meeting between Saint Joseph's and Florida.
• The Hawks have previously played in the Gator Holiday Classic in 2012, but took on Central Michigan (L, 98-84) and Savannah State (W, 88-41).

NEXT UP
• December 31, 2017 vs. VCU. The Hawks open conference play on New Year's Eve with a 2 p.m. contest versus VCU. The game is the first of two meeting between the Hawks and Rams this season.
