Box Score ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Saint Joseph's men's soccer squad dropped a 3-0 contest at Navy at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility on Tuesday evening. With their fourth consecutive loss, the Hawks fall to 2-5-2, while the Midshipmen improve to 2-6-1.
Navy scored first in the 17th minute and added insurance goals in the 64th and 79th minutes.
Senior goalkeeper Greg O'Connell (2-5-1) made five saves in the full 90:00.
Shots were relatively even as Navy owned a slight 14-13 edge for the match. Freshman midfielders Alvin Dahn (14') and Aidan Watkins (18') and redshirt freshman forward Jarod Ramses ('42) forced Navy goalkeeper Mac Burke into a trio of first-half saves, while senior midfielder Matt Crawford landed SJU's only two shots on goal in the second half (79', 90').
Saint Joseph's will close the non-conference portion of the schedule at home against Central Connecticut (3-5-1) this Saturday, September 30. Kickoff is slated for 5:00 p.m. on Sweeney Field.
