Series vs. Navy: First Meeting
ABOUT THE HAWKS
• Saint Joseph's wraps up the non-conference portion of its schedule as the Hawks head to Navy for a 6 p.m. tip on New Year's Eve at Alumni Hall.
• Monday's contest is the third of four-straight road games for Saint Joseph's and its first ever meeting with Navy.
• The Hawks are coming off a 48-39 loss at Delaware on Friday in which they were held to 28.6 percent shooting and a season-low 7.7 percent from three-point range.
• Freshman Katie Mayock posted her first career double-double versus the Blue Hens, finishing with a season-best 13 points to go with 11 points. Mayock is the first SJU rookie to post a double-double since Sarah Acker during the 2007-08 season.
• Mayock also added a game-high three blocks and currently leads SJU in rejections with 17 (1.4 per game).
• Sophomore Lula Roig added 11 points off the bench versus Delaware. Over the last four contests, Roig has averaged 9.8 points per game, including a career-best 16 points versus Towson.
• Senior Whisper Fisher is averaging 7.0 points and 8.0 rebounds, while averaging 22 minutes per game over the last two contests.
• Saint Joseph's is on pace for 573 three-point attempts this season and would surpass its previous record for attempts, 511, set by the 1997-98 team.
THE ROAD TO 1,000
Senior Alyssa Monaghan is nearing the 1,000-point plateau for her career. A four-year starter, Monaghan would become the 27th Hawks to reach 1,000 career points. She enters Monday with 979 points.
