CHARLESTON, S.C. - A three-pointer by Rahmir Moore at the buzzer missed its mark as the Saint Joseph's men's basketball team fell to Missouri State, 71-69, on Friday in the consolation bracket of the Charleston Classic at TD Arena.
How It Happened
• Down 69-66 with in the final minutes, Taylor Funk drilled a three-pointer to tie the game with 1:28 to play.
• Missouri State's Josh Hall hit a pair of free throws to give the Bears the lead again in their next possession, 71-69.
• Saint Joseph's failed to convert on its next offensive set, but got basketball back with 11 seconds to go following a defensive stop.
• Attacking the paint, Ryan Daly kicked the ball out to Moore at the left wing for a last-second shot, only to have the ball glance off the rim as the horn sounded.
• After an even 36-36 first half, Missouri State built the game's biggest lead, 58-46.
• Behind a 15-2 run, Saint Joseph's took the lead, 61-60, on a three-pointer by Ryan Daly at the 5:13 mark.
• Missouri State went up by four from there, but the Hawks answered back to tie it on Funk's three.

• Daly finished with 25 points for the second straight game.
• Funk and Moore were the only other Hawks in double figures, finishing with 10 points apiece.
• The Hawks shot 43.1 percent from the floor (25-58) and 35.7 percent from behind the arc (10-28).
• Saint Joseph's finished the game going 9-11 from the foul line for 81.8 percent, while Missouri State was 19-23 for 82.6 percent.
