Women's Basketball Hosts George Mason on Senior Day Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – Coming off of a thrilling 63-54 road win over Davidson on Wednesday, the Saint Joseph's women's basketball squad (9-16, 3-10 A-10) returns home to host George Mason (8-18, 2-11 A-10) this Saturday, February 22. Opening tip is set for 2:00 p.m. at Hagan Arena. Prior to the start of the game, the Hawks will honor their senior student-athletes – Nailah Delinois and Rachel Gartner – and senior managers – Regan Gallagher and Vilma Fermin – for their dedication to the program.

Saint Joseph's leads the A-10 and ranks 21st nationally in scoring defense, allowing an average of just 55.9 points per game.

The Hawks were predicted to finish 10th in the A-10 this year, according to the 2019-20 A-10 Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll conducted by the league's 14 head coaches and announced on October 29, while George Mason was predicted to finish sixth.

Saint Joseph's is 9-4 all-time against George Mason.

Last time out, paced by a combined 32 points from sophomore guard Katie Jekot and junior guard Lula Roig, the Saint Joseph's women's basketball squad snapped a six-game losing skid with a gritty 63-54 road win over Davidson at John M. Belk Arena on Wednesday, February 19.
