Saint Joseph's is 38-10 all-time against Fordham and has won four of the last six meetings.

Saint Joseph's leads the Atlantic 10 and ranks 18th nationally in scoring defense, allowing an average of just 55.6 ppg.

The Hawks were predicted to finish 10th in the A-10 this year, according to the 2019-20 A-10 Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll conducted by the league's 14 head coaches and announced on October 29, while Fordham was predicted to finish second.

Last time out, trailing by 11 points, 51-40, with 1:35 remaining in regulation, the Hawks tore off for seven unanswered points to bring the game to within four, but time would run out on the Crimson and Gray as Saint Joseph's fell to UMass by a final score of 51-47 in the 2020 home finale in Hagan Arena on Wednesday, February 26. Sophomore guard Katie Jekot dropped 16 points for her 17th double-figure scoring game of the season and dished out a career-high seven assists while sophomore forward Katie Mayock added 10 points and a game-high two blocks and freshman guard Kaliah Henderson chipped in eight points.
