Men's Basketball Falls At St. Bonaventure In Road Finale, 89-73

OLEAN, N.Y. - Cameron Brown and Ryan Daly combined for 41 points for Saint Joseph's, but St. Bonaventure topped the Hawks in their final road conference of the season, 89-73, on Wednesday evening at the Reilly Center.

How It Happened
• After a three-pointer by Brown brought the Hawks to within 6-5 in the early going, St. Bonaventure responded with a 16-3 run, opening a 22-8 advantage on a three-pointer by Dominick Welch.
• A Daly three-pointer made it 22-13, however an 11-3 run by St. Bonaventure followed as the host Bonnies took a 33-16 lead on a jumper by Osun Osunniyi.
• The Bonnies pushed their lead to 19, but the Hawks fought back as a turn-around jumper by Daly made it 42-27 at halftime.
• Scoring 12 of the first 14 points of the second half, St. Bonaventure pushed its advantage to 25, 54-29, just over three minutes into the period.
• The Hawks continued to battle though, going nearly point-for-point with the Bonnies from there, but would get no closer than the final score.

Inside the Boxscore
• Brown scored 14 of his game-high 21 points in the second half.
• Brown also handed out four assists and finished tied with Anthony Longpré with a team-high four rebounds.
• Daly, who reached the 20-point mark for the 19th time this season, finished with a team-best five assists and three steals.
• Longpré scored all 10 of his points in the second half.
• Saint Joseph's shot 60.7 percent from the floor (17-of-28) in the second half and finished the night converting 45.8 percent (27-of-59).
• The Bonnies' offense also caught fire in the second half as they shot 64.3 percent (18-of-28) and ended the night at 55.7 percent (34-of-61).

The Hawks (6-24, 2-15)
wrap up the regular season on Saturday with a Big 5 matchup against rival La Salle at 2 p.m. at Hagan Arena. Saint Joseph's will honor its senior class in a ceremony prior to tip.
