PHILADELPHIA – The 12th-ranked Saint Joseph's field hockey team clinched its fifth Atlantic 10 regular season championship in the past six seasons as the Hawks topped La Salle, 3-0, at Hank DeVincent Field on Thursday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint Joseph's (13-4 overall, 6-1 Atlantic 10) got on the board midway through the first quarter as
Katelyn Cocco put home a pass from
Leigh James.
• It remained a one-goal game until the last minute of the third quarter, when James fed
Katy Benton on a corner.

Cassidy Atchison added a penalty stroke in the fourth to close out the scoring.
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• The Hawks outshot La Salle (7-10 overall, 3-4 Atlantic 10) by a 19-2 margin, while earning 13 penalty corners to just one for the Explorers.

Robin Bleekemolen made one save for her ninth shutout of the season. Ryan Curley made seven stops for the hosts.
• With the win, the Hawks wrapped up the top seed for next week's Atlantic 10 Championship, to be held at Ellen Ryan Field.
