PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's soccer team (8-8-1, 5-2-1 A-10) heads to Fordham (6-9-1, 4-3-0 A-10) for its regular season finale on Saturday. The match is important for both teams to dictate seeding in the Atlantic 10 Championship.
 
ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S:
  • The Hawks have won three straight and four of their last five.
  • St. Joe's clinched a spot in the Atlantic 10 Championship and can be seeded as high as second with a win over the Rams and a Rhode Island loss.
  • A trio of Hawks have tallied double digit point totals thus far this season. Senior Garrett Lyons (four goals, four assists) and graduate student Omry Perel (three goals, six assists) are tied for the team lead with 12 points.
  • Junior James Fletcher rounds out the trio with 11 points on four scores and three assists.
  • Rookie Lars Haavie (4-6-0) has started 11 of 12 games played this season. He holds a 1.37 goals against average with 40 saves. 
ABOUT FORDHAM:
  • The Rams fell to Princeton in non-conference play on Tuesday.
  • Saturday's match is critical to Fordham in order to host a quarterfinal match in the A-10 Championship.
  • Max Rogers and Matt Sloan each have 10 or more points on the season. Rogers has 12 points on three goals and six assists, while Sloan adds 10 points on four goals and two assists.
  • Nick Buchholz (6-4-0) has started nine of 11 games, however Callum James (0-5-1) started Tuesday against Princeton. Buchholz holds better numbers in net this season with a 1.29 goals against average and a .711 save percentage.
