Behind four consecutive goals, the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team opened its season with a 4-1 victory over Delaware State on Sunday afternoon at Sweeney Field.

• Delaware State took an early 1-0 lead as Mackenzie Burns' shot from the left wing found the back of the net at 8:32

Morgan Bower evened the score for the Hawks at 22:41 as she dribbled down the right side and snuck a shot inside the left post at 22:41.

Kayla Flanders put Saint Joseph's ahead 2-1 as she took a beautiful centering pass from
Izzy Greene and beat the Hornets' keeper at 30:40.

Chloe Khelil struck for her first collegiate goal as she headed home a corner kick from classmate
Natalie Nevins to make it 3-1 at 72:53.
• Rookie
Sam Dumont capped the Hawks' scoring as the freshman took a centering pass from classmate
Rachel Brown inside the box and chipped it in to make it 4-1 at 81:56.

Kathleen Rivera made a pair of saves and earned the win in her Saint Joseph's debut.

Sofia Filippo were credited with assists on Bower's goal.
