Sofia Filippo each recorded a goal as the Hawks' women's soccer team blanked Fordham, 2-0, on a rainy Thursday evening on Sweeney Field.
How It Happened
• The Hawks nearly took a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute, but had their goal waved off on a delayed offsides call.
• After a scoreless first half, Saint Joseph's broke through for the game's first tally at 52:38 as Peev took a centering pass from Filippo inside the Rams' box and deposited into the upper left portion of the goal to make it 1-0.
• Filippo gave the Hawks some breathing room at 78:01 as she deflected a rebound off her initial shot into an open net to give SJU a 2-0 edge.

• Peev's goal was her second of the season.
• Filippo's goal and assist were both her second of the year, giving her the team lead in points (six).
• Rivera improved to 2-2-1 on the season with the shutout.
• After being held without a shot in the first half, the Hawks finished with an 8-7 edge.
