MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's baseball team fell to UConn on Sunday, 13-0, in the rubber game of a weekend series at Smithson Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• UConn (6-11) took the lead in the top of the first inning as Zach Bushling led off with a single and came in to score on a single by Christian Fedko.
• The Huskies then doubled the lead in the fourth on a solo home run by Pat Winkel.
• A two-run home run from Kyler Fedko in the fifth doubled the lead before three in the sixth made it a 7-0 game.
• The visitors would then score four times in the eighth and twice more in the ninth to close out the scoring.
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
• The Huskies notched 15 hits on the day; Bushling was 4-for-4 and scored four times to lead the UConn lineup.
• Austin Peterson earned the win, improving to 2-1 after allowing two hits and striking out eighth in seven and a third shutout innings.

Ryan Devine took the loss for Saint Joseph's (5-2), falling to 0-1 after being charged with two runs on four hits in four innings.
UP NEXT
The Hawks were scheduled to visit Navy on Wednesday, but that game has been postponed. SJU will now return to action on Saturday when Delaware visits Smithson Field.
