Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Greene and Cappelletti Lead Women's Soccer Past UMass, 1-0

Saint Joseph's forward Izzy Greene scored in the 62nd minute and goalkeeper Katie Cappelletti made a pair of saves to lead the Hawks' women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over UMass on Wednesday evening at Sweeney Field.

How It Happened
• UMass had the match's first scoring opportunity, but a strike by Ella Curry in the seventh minute hit off the crossbar.
• Green gave Saint Joseph's a 1-0 lead at 61:43 as she gathered an errant UMass pass and blistered a shot to the upper left corner from 30 yards out.
• The Minutewomen peppered shots from all angles in the second half, but Cappelletti and the Hawks' defense never allowed a true scoring threat as they held on for the victory.

Inside The Boxscore

• Cappelletti made a save in each period to earn both her first collegiate win and first shutout.
