NEWARK, Del. – The Saint Joseph's softball team wrapped up its opening weekend at Delaware on Sunday as Jessica Gaughan and Lauren Pscolka each collected a RBI apiece, while Caela Abadie went 2-for-4, but the host Blue Hens held on for a 5-2 victory.

How It Happened
• Delaware's Emily Blum gave her team a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second with a RBI double.
• Sarah Ostaszewski tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the fourth as she scored on a single by Pscolka.
• The Blue Hens struck for three unearned runs in the bottom of the fifth to retake the lead, 4-1.
• Gaughan singled home Jordan Hinkle in the top of the sixth to bring the Hawks to within 4-2.
• Delaware added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth on a RBI single by Julz Garber to make it 5-2.

Inside The Boxscore
• Abadie, who was 2-for-4 with two singles on the day, capped the opening weekend going 8-for-14 at the plate for a .571 batting average.
• Pscolka's RBI is the first of her collegiate career.
• In the circle, Amanda Herr was the hard-luck loser as she moved to 1-2 after giving up three unearned runs in 2.0 innings, despite striking out three.
• Saige Stutz tossed 3.0 innings in a starting role and allowed one earned run, while striking out five.
• Emily Siler struck out two in an inning of relief, and allowed one unearned run.
