MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team notched its second consecutive win as the Hawks rolled past Harford, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint Joseph's (7-4) claimed the early lead with wins in the first and third doubles flights.Â
Alex MacNeil and
Johnnie Massart were 6-1 winners in the third flight before
Eshan Kanetkar and
Nathan Perrone clinched the point with a 6-2 victory in the first.
• The Hawks made quick work of the Fighting Owls during singles play, with MacNeill winning his sixth-flight match at love and Perrone claiming a 6-0, 6-1 win in the top flight. Kanetkar sealed the deal with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph in the third flight.

Nickolas Frisk grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 result in the second flight, Massart won 6-1, 6-3 in the fourth, and
Luis Janko battled back from a set down to win in the fifth, 4-6, 6-1, 10-8 (supertiebreaker).
HAWK TALK
"The guys took this match very seriously, and it showed in their tennis and the score as well," assistant coach
Marc Pibernat said. "Definitely things have changed to a way more positive and energetic environment from all the guys. We need to keep it that way and finish the season as strong as we can."
