The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team capped its unprecedented season on Sunday with a match versus rival La Salle. Battling until the final horn, the Hawks put up a strong effort in their season finale, but fell to the Explorers, 1-0, at Sweeney Field.
How It Happened
• Prior to the start of the match, Saint Joseph's honored its senior class -
Morgan Bower,
Sofia Filippo,
Kasia Kwitnieski and
Annie McConnon - in a pregame ceremony.
• La Salle struck for the match's lone goal at 61:34 on an own goal following a corner kick by Jenna Soriano.
• The Hawks pressured the Explorers' late with a shot by
Natalie Nevins that was deflected in the final seconds and the ball cleared away before Saint Joseph's could strike.

• Nevins and Kwitnieski each had two shots apiece to lead the Hawks.
• Goalkeeper
Katie Cappelletti made a game-high three saves and finished her rookie campaign with a 1-4-0 mark and team-best 27 saves.
