TOWSON, Md. – The Saint Joseph's softball team dropped a pair of pitchers' duels at Towson on Wednesday as the Hawks fell 1-0 in the opener and 2-0 in game two.
How It Happened
Game One
• Towson took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third on a RBI single by Lindsey Toneygay.
• The Hawks would get the go-ahead run to the plate in the top of the seventh, but the Tigers worked out of trouble to secure the win.
Game Two
• The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first off a RBI single by Chloe Poulich.
• Towson added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth on a RBI single by Madyson Peters.

Game One

Payton Baxter,
Madison Fife and
Kirstin Cox accounted for all three of the Hawks' hits.

Ashley Stokes fell to 2-3 on the season as she was charged with the loss after allowing just one earned run over 4.0 innings, while striking out four.

Amanda Herr tossed 2.0 scoreless innings of relief.
Game Two
•
Sarah Ostaszewski was 2-for-4 at the plateÂ
•
Emily Siler tossed 6.0 innings for the Hawks, allowing just two runs on three hits, while striking out two while moving to 3-3 on the season
