MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team won its second consecutive match on Friday, topping Harford, 6-1. Prior to the match, the Hawks honored their three graduating seniors,
Madeline Hill,
Amanda Nava, and
Iswarya Vel.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Nava and
Stow Weiss were 6-3 winners in the first doubles flight before Hill and Vel clinched the first point of the day with a 6-4 win in the second flight.
• In the top singles flight, Nava earned a 6-0, 6-3 win to double the lead before
Anna Kirk rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 decision in the third.
• Vel notched the clinching point for the Hawks with a 6-0, 6-3 win of her own in the fifth flight before Weiss finished things off with a 7-5, 7-6 (4) win in the second.
