PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team bounced back from a midweek setback to earn a 5-2 win over crosstown rival Drexel on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Drexel took two out of three doubles flights to grab the early point.  Eshan Kanetkar and Nathan Perrone were first-flight winners for the Hawks, earning a 6-2 result.

• Things turned in the Hawks' favor in singles, as Kanetkar made quick work of his third-flight opponent, 6-0, 6-4, before Francesco Mowrey put the Hawks ahead with a 6-0, 6-3 win in the fourth.

• Nickolas Frisk brought Saint Joseph's to the brink of victory with a 6-4, 6-2 triumph in the second before Perrone clinched the affair with a 7-5, 6-1 win in the top flight.  Johnnie Massart finished off the Dragons with a 6-2, 3-6, 10-7 supertiebreaker win in the fifth flight.

HAWK TALK
"Once again we did not play good doubles, but we delivered the best singles performances we've had all year," assistant coach Marc Pibernat said.  "Everyone came up big today in singles and they played and worked so hard on every match.  Today the shoutout can only go to the entire team, as they all performed at their best.  This is a big win for our program, as Drexel has a strong team with one of the best team cultures I have witnessed as a coach."
