The Saint Joseph's men's Varsity 8 moved up one spot to 19th place in this week's Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association Coaches Poll of 2021, organization officials announced on Wednesday.

The IRCA's Awards & Polling Committee released ranks the Top 20 varsity 8+s from all eligible heavyweight and lightweight programs. The IRCA is currently only ranking schools who have started official competition for the 2021 racing season, with more schools being added to the poll as they begin to compete, regardless of whether they are eligible for postseason competition.

To determine the standings, the Awards & Polling Committee selected 11 pollsters from across the nation, representing every region in Men's Collegiate Rowing, as well as all divisions.

Polls will be released every Wednesday through the end of the season.

Saint Joseph's, which was ranked 20th in last week's poll, is back in action this Saturday, May 1, at the Bergen Cup.
