Late La Salle Goals Down Men's Soccer, 2-0

PHILADELPHIA – The Explorers scored twice in the final 15 minutes to down the Saint Joseph's men's soccer squad by a final score of 2-0 on Sweeney Field on Wednesday evening. Freshman goalkeeper Luis Ludosan (2-4) made four saves in the full 90:00 while on the offensive end, senior midfielder Alvin Dahn took a team-high two shots and sophomore midfielder James Fletcher landed SJU's lone shot on goal.

Saturday's home match against Fordham will now serve as the season finale for the Crimson and Gray, with kickoff set for 5:00 p.m. Prior to the start of the match, the Hawks will honor their senior class.

How It Happened
• The first half saw five total shots, with the Explorers holding a 3-2 edge, and just one shot on goal for the opening 45:00. La Salle's Scott Beeks headed a shot on goal in the 16th minute, but Ludosan came up with his first save of the night to keep the Explorers off the board early. Dahn then responded with a shot in the 17th minute but was denied by La Salle's defense.

• Ludosan made a diving save on Junior Nare's shot in the 50th minute before SJU's offense came alive moments later, when Fletcher broke away from SJU's defensive end with the ball and ran the length of the field to cheers and roars from the Sweeney Field stands. Fletcher had a brilliant look, but La Salle goalkeeper Cam Hall came up with the diving save to keep the match scoreless.

• La Salle's Charlie Collins tested Ludosan with a header shot in the 62nd minute, but Ludosan stood tall for his third save of the match.

• Off a set piece, Collins found Nigel Buckley in the box, and Buckley flicked the ball past Ludosan to put the Explorers on top, 1-0, in the 75th minute.

• Ludosan bounced back to make his fourth save of the night on a shot from La Salle's Justin Brunow in the 83rd minute, but Beeks would score on another set piece in the 89th minute to secure the win for the Explorers.
