Saint Joseph's senior attacker
Stephanie Kelly has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team, the organization announced on Wednesday morning.
Kelly, the Atlantic 10's Co-Offensive Player of the Year, finished the season with 45 goals, 46 assists, and 91 points en route to All-Conference First Team honors. Both her assist and point totals led the Atlantic 10 and are new Saint Joseph's single-season records, while her scoring output tied her for the ninth-most goals ever scored in a season. On April 3, she set a new career assist mark as she dished out the 85th of her career; she has since run that mark up to 109, while her 237 career points rank her second in program history.
A native of Melbourne, Australia, Kelly is just the second Hawk to earn selection to the IWLCA All-Region First Team; Jenna Martino received the honor in 2009. This season also marked the second consecutive A-10 Offensive Player of the Year honor to be awarded to a Hawk, as Francesca Donato claimed the award in 2019, and no honor was bestowed in 2020. Kelly was previously named to the Atlantic 10's All-Rookie Team in 2018, and earned All-Championship Team accolades in 2019 and 2021.
Kelly is now eligible to be voted onto one of the IWLCA All-America teams; selections will be announced next month.
