WEST WINDSOR, N.J. –  The Saint Joseph's men's rowing team capped its 2021 season as the Hawks raced through wet and windy conditions at the 2021 IRA National Championships on Saturday morning at Mercer Lake. Saint Joseph's Varsity 8 finished the prestigious event 20th overall, while the 2nd Varsity 8 placed 23rd, and the 3rd Varsity 8 placed 11th in their respective categories.

How It Happened
• Racing in the Varsity Challenge Cup Fourth Level Final, Saint Joseph's Varsity 8 of C-John Carluccio, 8-Ed Lemanowicz, 7-Kjel Schlemmer, 6-Devin Swech, 5-Slam Dunkley, 4-Collin Seabrook, 3-William Altier, 2-Max Bernstein, 1-David Gee completed the course in a time of 6:21.934 to finish second in its race and 20th overall in its field.
• The Hawks' 2nd Varsity 8 of C-Alexander Mayo, 8-Nick Coppola, 7-Rob Dougherty, 6-Eamon Coyne, 5-Ian Gallagher, 4-Jacob Vucinaj, 3-Collin Petersen, 2-Jack Yeager, 1-Thomas Rigali posted a time of 7:00.176 in the Kennedy Challenge Cup Fourth Level Final, finishing fifth in its race and 23rd overall in its field.
• Saint Joseph's 3rd Varsity 8 of C-David Knapp, 8-Noah Pingul, 7-Michael Fedele, 6-William Darling, 5-Gavin O'Connor, 4-Owen Lyons, 3-Cameron McNeill, 2-Aaron Tully, 1-Harris Beckmeyer turned in a time of 6:40.590 in its Petite Final to finish fifth in its race and 11th overall in the field.
