RICHMOND, Va. – Saint Joseph's junior catcher
Andrew Cossetti was voted on to the All-Championship Team for the 2021 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship after his performance in the Hawks' two games on Thursday.
Cossetti was 3-for-7 with a walk, two runs scored, and three driven in across the Hawks' games at the Championship. He was 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly as the Hawks fell to eventual champion VCU in the opening game of the tournament. Later that night, in an elimination game against eventual finalist Dayton, Cossetti hit a pair of home runs to keep the Hawks in the game through the middle innings. His multi-home run game was the first ever by a Hawk in the Atlantic 10 Championship.
VCU's Hunter Vay was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Championship; joining Cossetti and Vay on the All-Championship Team were Steven Carpenter, Tyler Locklear, Jack Schroeder, and Bradford Webb of VCU; Mariano Ricciardi, Riley Tirotta, and R.J. Wagner of Dayton; and Rhode Island's Ryan Twitchell, Sonny Ulliana, and Mike Webb.
