BRONX, N. Y. –
Sarah Ostaszewski became Saint Joseph's all-time leader in doubles as the Hawks' softball team blanked Fordham, 10-0, in six innings on Friday afternoon at Bahoshy Field.
Entering the day tied with Kristen Luciano '97 for the program record for doubles with 50, Ostaszewski broke the tie in the third inning with a RBI double to left field and helped spark Saint Joseph's fifth straight victory.
How It Happened
• Ostaszewski got the Hawks on the board in the top of the third with a RBI double that scored
Carli Davy.

Molly Kapala extended Saint Joseph's lead to 3-0 later in the inning with a two-run single that scored Ostaszewski and
Jordan Hinkle.
• Saint Joseph's blew the game open with a seven run sixth inning to take a 10-0 lead.
•
Caela Abadie scored off a single and Fordham fielding error on a ball hit by
Madison Fife to make it 4-0.
• Fife came around to score on a single by
Jordan Hinkle.
• Ostaszewski plated Hinkle and
Taylor Marinelli with a two-run single to make it 7-0.
• A two-run double by Kapala pushed the advantage to 9-0.
• Abadie added the final run with a RBI double that scored Kapala.
• Saint Joseph's starting pitcher
Amanda Herr set the Rams down in order in the bottom half of the sixth to close the game out.

• Herr was dominant in the circle, allowing just three hits, while striking out three to improve to 10-5 on the season with the win.
• Ostaszewski was 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBI and two runs scored.
• Kapala was 2-for-4 with four RBI and and a run scored.
