STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Saint Joseph's
Rachel Brown scored late to force overtime, but Stony Brook prevailed 2-1 with a goal in the final moments of the extra frame on Sunday afternoon.
How It Happened
• The Seawolves' Alicia D'Aoust broke the scoreless draw at 77:09 with a shot that snuck inside the right post.
• Brown answered back for the Hawks shortly after as she took a pass from
Lauren Hatt and blasted a shot that found the back of the net at 80:35.
• In overtime, Catharina von Drigalski scored with eight seconds remaining in the period to secure the victory for Stony Brook.
